About Murph

Jeff English calls Galveston, TX, home, sharing his space with the delightful company of two canine companions, Milo and Pumpkin, and three feline friends, Jax, Opie, and Murph. By profession, Jeff is a dedicated higher education professional, serving as a career counselor. When he's not immersed in guiding college students on their career journeys, you'll find him indulging in daydreams about crafting captivating children's books.

Murph, the resilient 5-year-old black cat, became a cherished member of Jeff's family in 2020. Emerging from a challenging past marked by broken limbs and a gunshot wound, Murph's fortunes changed when Jeff discovered her at Galveston Island's Animal Clinic. The credit goes to the compassionate care of Dr. Lea Fistein, who ensured Murph's journey to a forever home.

Murph delights in the simple pleasures of life, relishing cups of iced water, savoring treats, engaging in bird watching, and reveling in cozy cuddles with her devoted Dad. Known for her expressive vocals, Murph thrives on the love and attention showered upon her in her newfound home.
